Tile is a white block outlined in black, giving it a tile's appearance. It is commonly used for futuristic buildings, as well as simple tiles. From a few blocks away, the transition from white to black seems very smooth. Sometimes, these will be used as a lamp (only as decoration, since it can't actually give off light), although the light blocks will probably be used more as lamps than these in the 2.0 update.
