Sand is a commonly used block in Eden. This block is one that has a texture similar to sand. The block is tan and looks rough, like sandpaper. However, it does not have any other of the attributes that sand has in real life. In Eden World Builder, it does not spawn naturally. Sand replaced the Wool Block in 1.6 when painting was added. Users often use Sand to make beaches, lakes, or pools, thus making Sand useful. Users sometimes make snow biomes by painting Sand white.
