The Normal World is one of two world layouts that the player can chose from when creating a new world. Unlike the flat world, the normal world includes varying terrain, biomes, and natural structures such as hills, cliffs, and trees.

Pre-2.0 Normal Worlds[]

Normal Worlds before 2.0 contained one biome. The world was predominately made of rolling hills with valleys and ravines made of stone. The world also containedtrees which came in red, yellow, and green colors. The sky contained clouds and the ground was made up of grass, flowers (the pre-2.0 version), and weeds. Originally, the normal world contained caves made of the now removed dark stone block and stone. These were removed in Update 1.6, meaning normal worlds no longer had underground structures until 2.0 when rainbow caves were added to the Purple Biome.

Post-2.0 Normal Worlds[]

One of the major changes in Update 2.0 was the addition of a new normal world generation. The normal world is made up of various different biomes and includes structures such as lakes and mountains, which were not found in previous versions of the game. Unlike pre-2.0 Normal Worlds, this world is not randomly generated and is instead one single pre-made world. As a result, the world size is much smaller. Biomes also do not blend well in Post-2.0 normal worlds. Biomes are always in square shapes.

Trivia []

  • If the player uses a pre-2.0 normal world and loads in a newly generated chunk, that chunk will be generated as flat terrain.
  • Before Update 2.0 was released, many speculated that screenshots of certain biomes may have been from other planets or dimensions, similar to the Nether from Minecraft.
  • The Normal World was the only terrain option until Update 1.5 when flat worlds were added.
